A commitment to supporting you and yours through the transplant process.
Doubletake Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a simple, but deeply personal, mission: to support and assist transplant patients and their caregivers through the transplant process pre-operation, during the operations, and post-operation with support kits, real-world experiences, and a community built by those who have walked the same path.

Developed from experience, grown with support.
Mission
Our mission is to support and assist transplant patients and their caregivers through the transplant process pre-operation, during the operations, and post-operation with support kits, real-world experiences, and a community built by those who have walked the same path.
Vision
A world where every transplant patient and caregiver feels supported, informed, and connected to a compassionate community that understands their journey from preparation to recovery.
Value
We believe that every transplant patient and caregiver deserves compassionate, practical support that extends beyond the essential medical guidance they receive. Once the clinical information is shared, we help bridge the gap by offering patient activities, accessible literature, and real-world insights that make daily life more manageable. By offering patient friendly activities, accessible resources, and personal stories, we empower individuals through every stage of pre- and post-transplant life.
An array of programs
Our programs are made possible by the support of people like you who are interested in helping people live through the incredible, but daunting, journey of organ transplantation.
Support Kits
Communication tools and comforts…
Living with a chronic illness that results in the need of an organ transplant is a difficult journey, and it often can be hard to find support materials. Especially with extended time spent in hospitals, driving to and from appointments, while balancing general life alongside the health and wellness required to maintain. Patients may feel unprepared for the reality of transplant care, despite the support of their medical teams, and would benefit from real-life stories from organ donor recipients and donor families as well as materials to support them throughout the process such as when they are in the hospital post-op.

Caregiver information & local resources
The journey wouldn’t be possible without caregivers…
Caregivers play a critical role in transplant outcomes but are often overwhelmed, underprepared, and unfamiliar with the medical system or local area—especially when care requires frequent appointments far from home. This program equips caregivers with practical information, emotional support, and local resources so they can focus on patient care while maintaining their own well-being.
Ancillary expenses assistance program
Help when insurance doesn’t cover it all…
While insurance may cover medical procedures, many transplant patients and families face significant out-of-pocket costs for travel, lodging, meals, and other essentials. These financial burdens can delay care, increase stress, or jeopardize transplant eligibility. This program helps bridge the gap so patients can access and maintain life-saving treatment.

“After receiving the incredible gift of life, twice, I knew I wanted to dedicate my time helping support others through this life changing experience.”
