TOMORROW (Friday, October 9th) marks the second annual Lung Transplant Awareness Day! Lung Transplant Awareness Day was initiated by the Lung Transplant Foundation October 9th, 2025.

This special day dedicated to Lung Transplant shares community stories, unlocks the option to download a free book that shares the ins and outs of new lungs, and participation in a group word mosaic.

Lung Transplant Awareness Day is a national initiative dedicated to raising awareness, promoting education, and empowering advocacy around lung transplantation. Held every year on October 9, it is a time to honor patients, caregivers, donors, and medical professionals who make this life-saving procedure possible.

Not only is it a day to celebrate the incredible gift of lung transplant, it is also focused on education, resources, and elevating awareness of lung transplant.
